By Kathleen Montecillo

When you’re overwhelmed by all the to-dos on your list, forget about working harder  —  it’s all about working smarter. That’s where productivity apps come in. They help you manage everything from huge projects and deadlines, to little everyday things that just need to get done. Here are five apps we’ve found that can make your day-to-day a little bit easier.

Evernote

Evernote is perfect for saving random bits of inspiration you don’t want to forget. It lets you jot down an idea, snap a picture, record a video, make a quick sketch, create a to-do list, and a bunch of other things. Think of Evernote as a centralplace where you can organize your life. And you can add tags to your notes so they’re easy to search for  —  no more scrambling through your phone looking for the info you need.

Feedly

You already know how important it is for you to keep up with the happenings in your industry. Feedly helps you do just that by keeping an eye on the thought leaders you care about. It figures out what you like by tracking your reading habits, and it saves you time by showing content you want to see in a clean and minimalist app. You can share stories with friends, jot down notes while you read, and even save articles for later.

Dropbox

Dropbox is like the online version of your high-school locker. It provides a place to store your files, documents, photos, videos, and other data. Dropbox makes it easy to save, share, and view files from any device, which is why it’s great for team projects. No more sending tons of emails back and forth. You and your team can now edit and comment directly on a document that gets updated in real time.

LastPass

Keeping track of all your passwords can be tricky (as if you don’t have enough to keep tabs on). LastPass does the work of remembering all your passwords, letting you focus on more important things. It stores and encrypts them so they’re secure, and you can log in and out of all your accounts with one click  —  all you have to do is remember your master LastPass password.

Freedom

Ever wish you could block out distractions while you get stuff done? The Freedom app lets you choose which apps/programs to block across all your devices and for how long. It helps you unplug from email, social media, or whatever else might distract you while you concentrate on one of the million things on your plate.

We’d be crazy not to mention our own app that makes our clients’ lives easier. My Mopro App lets you manage your entire social media presence from one place, allowing you to schedule posts, monitor your reputation, and keep track of your competitors.
